John August Reserve is a park located on Mont Albert Road in the suburb of Canterbury. It is part of a series of parks that follow an old creekbed leading to the vicinity of Canterbury Gardens. It a large open space, a playground and an unsealed gravel path.

The Reserve contains the former quarry site known as Buckley's Lake which was filled in 1933. The Reserve was expanded as part of works by Camberwell City Council in 1955.[2],[3]
