Politics

Latham was instrumental in agitating for the construction of the Camberwell Fresh Food Market in 1928, along with fellow councillor and businessman Harry Rooks. He moved a motion to construct such a market in Camberwell, but this failed due to absent councillors. Despite this setback, plans were drawn up and the market constructed in the following year.[6]
