Michael Logan was a member of the Boroondara District Road Board from 1858 to 1861. He was a local farmer who owned 300 acres of land along the east bank of W Creek in Hartwell. Throughout the 1870s and 1880s, he progressively subdivided and sold land as part of the wider property boom in Melbourne of the late 19th century. The Outer Circle Railway was built through one of these estates. Logan died at his home in 1888.[1]

Legacy

Logan Street in Canterbury is named after him.[1]
