Edward Dillon was a councillor for South Ward, City of Camberwell and the Shire of Boroondara, as well as a member of the Boroondara District Road Board. He served for 48 years from 1867 to 1915, making him the longest-serving local government representative in Boroondara's history. He was elected president of the Shire of Boroondara five times and served in a number of other public offices. (Full article)
