Maud Street is a minor street running east-west between Burke Road and Balwyn Road in the suburb of North Balwyn.

Etymology
The western section between Corhampton Road and Buchanan Avenue was previously named Muirhead Street. The eastern section between Buchanan Avenue and Balwyn Road was previously named Stewart Street or Steward Road.

History
Maud Street was built in stages between the 1880s and 1920s. It was possibly first begun at its western end in 1888 as part of the Queen's Park Estate and built up to Corhampton Road after the initial sales of the Dacre Estate in 1887.

The eastern section from Severn Street (previously Grenville Street) to Buchanan Avenue was created in 1913 as part of the Tramway Estate. This was a 69 acre subdivision of the original estate in the area but took some years before it became fully developed. This section was named Muirhead Street. <ref name="BalwynNorthBalwynHeritageStudy">City of Boroondara. Balwyn and Balwyn North Heritage Study.
